PHILOSOPHY: All members of the Camp Staff and Volunteers are responsible for carrying out the Mission of Camp St. Thekla, which is to present to young people a living experience of the Holy Orthodox Faith in their relationship with God and other campers in an uncluttered, natural environment. With God’s help we work to strengthen the Camper’s grasp of the basics of the Christian life: participation in the liturgical, sacramental, and ascetic life of the Church, and living in community with fellow members of the Body of Christ and with peace toward all of God’s creation.
AGE: Camp Counselors must be at least 18 years of age by June 25, 2021, and completed high school. They must have served at CST at least one summer before, in-person.
DURATION AND PROGRAMS: Camp Staff are expected to attend the entire winter camp session (2/18/22-2/21/22).
During this time, staff will be serving a group of campers 12-17 from mostly the Southern US. Most campers will be Orthodox Christians though not all. Programs include sessions with speakers, small groups
APPLICATIONS: All applications must be submitted no later than January 10. Notification of acceptance will be sent out on or before January 18.

SELECTION: Applications will be judged based on information from the following sources: performance evaluations from any previous experience as a Camp St. Thekla staff member.
+ Live with and provide for the needs of approximately seven campers in each cabin.
+ Live and encourage fulfillment of Camp St Thekla Mission Statement (in staff application and staff manual)
+ Cooperate with all staff in carrying out programs.
+ Arrive early to all events (early is on time and on time is late)
+ Take care of your health and wellbeing so you can care for others
+ Report any signs of domestic abuse or neglect to Camp Director
