How the Sacred Music Ministry Supports DOMSE
The DOMSE Sacred Music Coordinator serves and supports the clergy, choir directors, chanters, and parishes of the Diocese in a variety of ways.
- Directing Parish Life Conference choirs.
- Offering continuing Sacred Music education at Parish Life Conferences.
- Visiting parishes, upon request, to offer personalized music workshops.
- Helping orient chanters and choir directors to the many online sources of music available in both standard Western notation and Byzantine notation.
- Providing vocal coaching.
- Representing DOMSE’s musical needs and preferences to the Archdiocesan Music Committee and sharing resources provided at the Archdiocesan level with DOMSE parishes.
